The largest storage currently available currently for the iPod Touch is 32GB due to its capability to house two 16GB NAND Flash chips.

With recent announcements of 32GB and 64GB NAND Flash chips becoming available in 4Q08 and 1H09 respectively, it may now be possible for the iPod touch to accomodate 64GBs of storage.

Prediction: Will Apple make an official launch announcement for a 64GB iPod Touch during the MacWorld 2009 keynote speech? The 64GB iPod touch need not be available for ordering for a favorable judgment - purely an official announcement will render a favorable judgment.

David, you need to change the "iPhone" in the prediction title to "iPod"

@Garrick, thanks for catching dad. Must have had a "DUH" moment.
